Today’s Scripture:
“You were bought with a high price. So you must honor God with your body.” —1 Corinthians 6:20 NLT
Imagine you’re cruising down the highway, music blasting, when you notice a police car up ahead. Instantly, your heart skips a beat as you glance at the speedometer and realize you’re over the speed limit. In that moment, the reality of the law’s presence shifts your focus, bringing a sense of accountability.
Similarly, our daily lives are filled with moments of realization that remind us of the moral and spiritual laws we sometimes ignore. Whether it’s indulging in gossip, nurturing anger, or engaging in actions that don’t reflect our values, these are opportunities to recognize how we stray from the path God desires for us. If God stood visibly beside you, how different would your actions be?
Yet, there is comfort in knowing that the ultimate price for our missteps has been paid by Jesus. This is not a license to continue wrongdoing, but rather a call to gratitude—to show our thanks by living in ways that honor Him. Every day is another chance to live intentionally, letting our actions reflect our appreciation for the grace we’ve received.
Pray This: Lord, thank You for paying the ultimate price for my sins. Help me to live each day conscious of Your presence, and guide my actions so they honor and reflect Your love. May my life be a testament to Your grace, and may it inspire others to seek You as their Savior. Amen.
